| | | | Since the start of 2002, Zeppelin has been holding 48% of the stock of the newly established company MaK Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG, Kiel. This stake ensures for Zeppelin, together with Cat, the exclusive service and sales rights for MaK's large engines from 1,000 to 16,000 kW output. The rights apply in Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Switzerland, Cyprus, parts of south-east Europe, the Baltic states and Poland. The engines are used above all in ships' propulsion systems or in stationary applications. Both the MaK company, with more than 80 years of experience in the development and building of diesel engines, and the equipment bearing the MaK mark, enjoy an excellent worldwide reputation. | |
