Zeppelin Group presents stage V Cat engines at IFAT trade fair

15.04.2018

Zeppelin Power Systems, an official partner of Caterpillar, will be at the IFAT trade fair in Munich from May 14 to 18, presenting the very latest engines for use in environmental technology and the waste disposal industry. The experts in drive and engine systems will be showcasing their portfolio at the same booth as Zeppelin Baumaschinen GmbH in hall C5, booth 139/238, where they will be talking to customers about Cat engines that meet the stage V emission standard, effective from 2019, as well as individual system solutions. The company offers everything from planning to construction, all from one source.

Zeppelin Power Systems will be showcasing two selected Cat industrial diesel engines, the C2.8 and the C13B, at its booth. The C2.8 is available with a nominal output of 55 kW at speeds of 2,200-2,400 rpm, while the C13B has an output of 340–430 kW at 1,800–2,100 rpm. The C13B boasts improved ventilation and electrical systems, as well as a new after-treatment system, and is therefore about 30 percent lighter than previous models at the same output level. Furthermore, it does not require cooled exhaust gas recirculation. As with all Caterpillar engines, Zeppelin Power Systems also offers the C2.8 and the C13B with a range of different configurations so that customers can select the one that best suits their individual requirements. The company’s new engines not only meet the required emission standards, but also increase fuel efficiency and power density at the same time.

Anytime and anywhere in the world

At the IFAT trade fair, Zeppelin Power Systems will also be talking about its extensive service that is already trusted by many leading engine manufacturers specializing in environmental technology and waste disposal. The company provides customized inspection and maintenance plans for prevention and early detection, which ensure that the equipment operates reliably. Three Zeppelin Power Systems service centers, the engine repair service in Achim, and about 40 additional locations in Germany, along with three service centers and five sites in Austria, ensure maximum availability. The Caterpillar dealer network is also available worldwide, 24 hours a day, and seven days a week. Spare parts and professional product support are available at more than 1,800 locations, and offer high quality and consistent service.
