Zeppelin dosing and conveying screws are suitable for dosing and conveying all bulk materials, and can be used for conveying systems as well as the precise filling of scales. Our dosing and conveying screws can be perfectly tailored to suit your areas of application; for example, a hygienic, quick-clean version is available for fields with very strict hygiene requirements, such as the production of baby food.
Characteristics
Dosing and conveying screws are made entirely from stainless steel and are easy to clean. The screw can be adjusted to a coarse or a fine flow, for precise conveying and dosing, while the direct drive allows for easy inspection and maintenance. An optional cap can also be installed on the outlet to prevent overrun of the bulk material during weighing.
The hygienic version comes with a clamp connection for the bearing housings on the feeding inlet and outlet; these quick-clean features allow the screw to be removed, inspected and cleaned dry in just a few steps. In the interior of the hygienic version, all weld seams that come into contact with the bulk material are smoothed, and the screw and screw tube are electrochemically polished.
