You will learn to install and commission electrical installations such as electrical cabinets and distribution boxes as well as lighting systems. By the end, you will be adept at handling, assembling and connecting, or maintaining, equipment and systems. Your tasks will also include accurately setting up our power distribution systems and adapting them to the construction site. Through handling our products you will gain basic operational technical knowledge in service-oriented customer care.

In the training you learn all basic skills of metal working. The wide range of sheet metal working, as well as various connection types such as learning the most common welding methods are part of your job model. Assembly work on constructions is also part of your activities such as the manufacture of containers in a wide variety of processes. Installation and construction of equipment for a wide range of applications round out the picture for this varied training profession.

During training you will put in place the technical foundations required for the servicing, repair, maintenance, equipping and operation of the machines. In addition, you will become familiar with machine systems such as engine technologies, electrics and electronics, hydraulics and drives.
We will also teach you about the basic activities involved in metalworking and welding techniques, and the use of modern diagnostic techniques. The knowledge you gain during your training will be consolidated and developed further through several weeks of theoretical training at Goldenberg Europakolleg in Hürth near Cologne.

In this training you get to know all the manual and mechanical basic skills of metal processing. The main part of this demanding and varied training is the electro-technical and pneumatic training content. Building and operating Mechatronic systems in different designs will be a big part of your training. Your field of activity will expand to the end of the training of complex plant construction for both the industrial and the food sector. First service assignments with our specially trained employees in our international projects can also be part of the training.

During training you will research metallic materials such as steel, aluminum and titanium, and different types of plastics. You will examine their properties, take samples and, using highly advanced equipment, diagnose possible material damage and document your findings. This will prepare you for important responsibilities, as materials audited by Zeppelin will subsequently be used for shipbuilding, aeronautics, and plant, automotive and mechanical engineering, amongst other areas.

As an industrial mechanic, you will be directly involved in the production and maintenance of individual components for plant engineering. You start by learning the basic knowledge in metal working. During the training, you will gain in-depth knowledge in component production as well as in assembly and control technology. During the training you will be deployed in different departments of the production of modern plant engineering. In the three and a half years of training, a modern, interesting and varied school and training period awaits you.

During training you will gain three qualifications: Management Assistant in wholesale and foreign trade, Trainer Certificate, and Certificate in Business Training. During the practical part of the training you will learn about different departments and areas of responsibility at Zeppelin headquarters, and expand your knowledge in the areas of accounting, marketing or human resources. The theoretical component includes corporate management and governance, trade marketing, human resources management, economics, and procurement and logistics.
