Zeppelin GmbH to become Zeppelin SE
- Zeppelin GmbH to become Zeppelin SE
- Zeppelin Foundation remains the sole shareholder
- Focus on international orientation and future growth
The holding company of the Zeppelin Group will change its legal form from a German limited liability company (GmbH) to a Societas Europaea (SE) by mid-2027. As a result, the company's holding entity will operate under the name Zeppelin SE. One thing will remain unchanged, however: the shareholder structure. The Zeppelin Foundation will continue to be the company's direct and indirect owner.
The Societas Europaea is a well-established and internationally recognized European legal form for companies operating across borders. By changing its legal form from a GmbH to an SE, the Zeppelin Group is acknowledging its significantly expanded international presence. Over the recent decades, the company with roots in the Lake Constance region has evolved into a globally active group operating across Europe, North and South America, Asia and Africa, and employing around 12,000 people.
“The Zeppelin Group is more international than ever before. By becoming an SE, we are adapting our legal and organizational framework to reflect our scale and international footprint,” says Christian Dummler, Managing Director and CFO of the Zeppelin Group. “At the same time, the new legal form strengthens our foundation for future growth by aligning our structures and standards even more closely with the expectations of international business and financial partners.”
